Kelly + Nick Married 8.5.17 | A Larkin’s on the River Wedding

Larkins on the River wedding in downtown Greenville South Carolina

A Larkins on the River Wedding in Greenville, South Carolina

There are so many reasons to be excited about Kelly & Nick’s Larkin’s on the River wedding! I remember the first time chatting with Kelly about their wedding. We were actually headed their way to Atlanta where they live to see Adele and Kelly was actually headed for a run around our home in Greenville! We were so disappointed it wasn’t going to work out to meet up but I remember getting off the phone and telling Kevin how sweet Kelly was and I just felt an instant connection and fit for their special day.

Kelly and Nick’s wedding took place at Larkin’s on the River in downtown Greenville, SC. Although they live in Atlanta they chose this location to make travel a bit easier for family … especially Nick’s Grandmother who was able to be there for the celebration. You could tell from the very beginning how important it was to have their day surrounded by those they loved. Kelly and Nick exchanged their vows amongst their closest friends and family in an intimate ceremony that took place in Larkin’s Courtyard. And when I say surrounded by their friends and family … they were surround by so much love and support. These two had the biggest bridal party we have ever photographed!!! Kelly had 11 gorgeous ladies by her side and Nick had 9 groomsmen! It was so much fun!!

Even with the August heat in South Carolina I don’t think we could have had a better summer day to celebrate their wedding! There were so many favorite moments during their wedding day but some of my favorites had to be their First Look, first dance and exit. I loved the moment during Kelly and Nick’s first look when they turned around asked if they were allowed to kiss LOL! And during their Bride and Groom portraits Kelly and Nick mentioned they had taken a dance lesson in preparation for their first dance. Literally one lesson they said! These two are so good because it turned out awesome and even ended with a dip! And the only way to end such a perfect evening was with a sparkler exit lining the Larkin’s courtyard!!! I would say the evening was a success!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hayes! You both looked stunning and your wedding was just perfect! We wish you lots of love and happiness for years and years to come and hope you ENJOY these favorites of ours from your wedding day!

Chelsea + Garrett Married 7.29.17 | A Clemson South Carolina Wedding

Colorful Clemson South Carolina Wedding

A Occasions At Wedgefield Wedding in Clemson, South Carolina

Chelsea & Garrett’s wedding was full of so many beautiful and unique touches special to their love story. From the location, Clemson, South Carolina where they met while they attended Clemson University together, to the golf tee incorporated in Garrett’s boutonnière symbolizing his passion for the sport he played during his undergrad studies. Their day started at the Clemson Catholic Student Association Center where they got ready with their closest friends and family followed by the sweetest First Look outside the St. Andrew Catholic Church. When we met Chelsea and Garrett, Chelsea mentioned she wanted her day filled with bright-colored flowers and let me tell you … the colors were absolutely gorgeous!! And even more incredible … they made sure to incorporate roses. You see Chelsea’s middle name is Rose and every month during all six years that these two dated Garrett gave Chelsea roses!!!

Even though it was a hot one on Chelsea and Garrett’s wedding day we still made our way to Clemson University to capture their Bride and Groom portraits where it all started! Even Mitchell Hall where they first met! And I loved that they chose to share gifts with one another during their portrait time together!

One of my favorite moments during Chelsea and Garrett’s reception was the way the tables were announced for dinner. Instead of just announcing the table numbers they read a little trivia about Chelsea & Garrett, if the table got it right they were able to get their food and if they got it wrong they had to sing a love song to eat! Such a fun creative way to learn more about Chelsea and Garrett’s love story and even more fun to hear the singing!!!

Congratulations you two, your wedding was perfect! Enjoy some of our favorites from your day and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!

Samantha + Soul Engaged | A Downtown Engagement

Summer sunrise engagement in downtown Greenville South Carolina

A Downtown Engagement Session | Greenville, South Carolina

If you have noticed a slight trend in downtown Greenville Falls Park sunrise sessions on our blog that’s because 1) Falls Park is absolutely beautiful and especially in the summertime with all the lush greenery and flowers surrounding the falls and walkways 2) Its super hot during Greenville summers … I’m talking 90 something degrees … but not at 6:30am!!! On this particular morning it was low 70’s, which is way more comfortable when our couples are all dressed up! 3) So many of our couples have spent their best dates in Falls Park or even got engaged there so we get to continue those amazing memories in a place close to their heart. 4) Maybe this is just us since we are foodies but downtown Greenville has the best restaurants … especially brunch … so what better than finishing your session and grabbing brunch!

We started Samantha and Soul’s downtown engagement session at one of the best places to watch the sunrise, the Liberty Bridge and the falls. From there we explored Falls Park and made our way toward the West End of downtown Greenville. We found one of the coolest looking and most colorful doors … a new favorite of mine! And then we stumbled across another beautiful flower garden where we found the most gorgeous glow of morning sunshine!

Samantha and Soul were so easy-going and up for exploring all over downtown Greenville with us! They were even willing to get pretty close to the falls for some stunning waterfall photos, wait until you see them!! And for being so early in the morning you would have never known, we had so much fun, which makes me even more excited for their wedding this November!

Congratulations Samantha and Soul! Enjoy our favorites from your downtown engagement!
